“What’s your square metre rate?” This is one of the most common questions we hear when speaking to perspective clients at Ramsay Builders. Strangely enough, most people who ask this question don’t actually understand what they are asking. The thing about m2 rates is that they’re incredibly varied, and most luxury
When it comes to building a home, the decision to choose a custom home builder often comes with its fair share of questions, assumptions, and misconceptions. Custom builders are sometimes overlooked due to widespread myths that don’t reflect the reality of what they offer. In this blog, we’ll debunk the
While there are a number of factors that go into producing a high-quality, beautiful custom home, one of the most important aspects is having a frequent, thorough dialogue with your new home builder. Communication is key to ensuring the home is exactly what you want, and there are no mishaps or
When embarking on a building journey, it’s incredibly common for clients to start with an architect, develop plans and then take these to a nominated builder or tender to multiple builders. However, engaging a builder before, or at the same time as an architect can make a huge difference to your project
It’s no secret that building in today’s economy is challenging. First, we had to navigate the pandemic, having to stay at home (and many of us wishing we had a far bigger home than what we have!) and adjust to new ways of living. This required the need for adjusting
by Anthea Ramsay Recently I had the pleasure of attending the Housing Industry Association (HIA) Building Women luncheon in Melbourne. It was my first time ever attending such an event, and it was so great to be in a room full of like-minded women working in an industry that is
Wood is not only a timeless element in interior design, but also just so happens to be a massive trend as of late with all the best luxury designers seeking out natural wood, such as timber and teak, for its natural ambiance. When it comes to bespoke interior design, one
Congratulations! You’ve constructed a beautiful home from quality materials with the help of expert builders. Despite selecting excellent materials and building with the highest standard of workmanship, your new home requires regular maintenance. Keeping your gorgeous space clean and tidy will save you money and can help you avoid running into
When is the right time to build my dream home? With increasing building material prices, skilled labour shortages, and supply chain issues, the construction industry has one certainty – constant change. And this leaves new home builders and renovators asking the question: When is the right time to build my dream project?
We couldn’t be happier with the work from Ramsay Builders. Brett Ramsay and his team have been outstanding from start to finish. I’m a very careful person when it comes to building a home, so I even hired an independent building inspector to double-check everything. To my delight, the inspector himself said the workmanship was “top of the notch” — a rare compliment from someone who sees countless projects. The quality, attention to detail, and professionalism from Brett and his company have truly exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!
Ramsay Builders provided personal service and was able to accommodate what we wanted in our home. The one on one contact with Brett made all the difference. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a more personal engagement with their builder to cater for their individual needs.
Thank the team for delivering us a beautiful family space. We could not be happier with the result and the process. Our dealings with Ramsay Builders were more than professional: they cared about our project and went beyond expectations. We found them to be a very thorough, considerate and respectful team of builders, who were happy to troubleshoot any issues as they arose. Our knockdown and rebuild project consisted of a modern contemporary house with lots of glass windows and doors and skylights built to a detailed architectural design and specification. We started our project in the midst of the pandemic and there was quite a bit of uncertainty around, and we were very concerned at first, but so lucky to have Brett and his team there, like a guardian angel, escorting us through a thunderstorm. The decision to choose Ramsay during the tender process was an easy one – based primarily on Brett’s communication, professional knowledge, state-of-the-art project management measures and most important of all, enthusiasm for the build. Though there were a handful of unexpected council planning challenges that arose during the build, none were too big for Brett to resolve and with minimal project impact too. The close relationships that he has built with his various tradespeople are quite evident and reflected in the high level of craftsmanship that were delivered in our finished product. For a person that has never built before, there can be lots of questions and “hearsay”, but Brett bridged this gap seamlessly and dispelled doubts by putting in the time to clearly explain and articulate how each aspect or process of the build worked. From the outset I was impressed with their organisation, reliability and ease to deal with. When some minor adjustments had to be made along the way, Brett and his team had good solutions and were responsive to requests. They were always focused on achieving a balance between quality outcome and affordability. The building was hence done with care and precision. We are over the moon with the result. Everyone who sees it is full of admiration. Importantly, they were also able to keep within our budget and time frame, ensured that we could move into our house on time, which we really appreciated, especially during such a challenging time. I know different people may have different building experiences, but with Ramsay Builders, you will only have one: assured. We would heartily recommend Brett and his team to anyone thinking about a build.
Loving our beautiful mid century style home. We’ve been in our Ramsay home for just over twelve months and we love it more every day. During the Covid lockdown we commenced the planning with Ramsay Builders over Zoom, on a complicated brief for our knock down rebuild. We wanted to design and build an elevated mid century style home, that blended into the green corridor of Boroondarra Council, for a busy family of four, who love cooking, entertaining and needed two home offices
Working with Ramsey Builders was a really smooth process from design to handover. Nothing seemed to be too hard, if something went wrong or not working they would find a solution whereas with other builders I feel they wouldn’t go the extra mile. I would recommend Ramsey Builders
We had a very positive building experience with Ramsay Builders. The build was on time, to a high standard and has resulted in our beautiful home. We loved working with Brett. He was extremely professional, a great communicator and a really nice guy. We would have no hesitation recommending Ramsay Builders to those contemplating this daunting journey.
Three times now I have built with Ramsay Builders, (initially in 2005 and more recently in 2018), and I could not be more impressed with the quality of the end product. From the initial design concepts right through to the final hand over, I would not hesitate to use them again! Simon Edwards, Glen Iris
Ramsay Builders did a great job on our Elsternwick project, and we were very happy with the process and the outcome. We are using them again for our next project.
I had a great experience with Ramsay Builders from beginning to end. They are responsive to my enquiries and their app provides instant updates for me.
Thanks so much to Brett and the team. We all love our new family home and we could not be happier with your quality, professional advice and responsiveness. Thanks again.
We had a great building experience with Ramsay Builders. The whole building process was very smooth and Brett was onsite almost every day. He responded very quickly and explained to us patiently when we asked questions. We had a third party inspector and they said the finishing quality was good. Ramsay Builders handled everything from start to finish for us especially when we had no experience in the building field. A lot of things were explained in detail when we were confused, and there were prompt responses to our questions. With our budget we expected a wide range of material to choose from but it was a bit limited. The initial floor plan design did not meet our requirement and I did the floor plan by myself. Overall, we are happy with Ramsay’s building quality and I have recommended to others.
Ramsay Builders are extremely professional and their attention to detail and care about the quality of the materials and craftsmanship means that you have great confidence in the finished product. They work with you to build what you want in a house and listen to your queries and concerns and respond quickly. Our experience with them has been great and we would recommend them to family and friends.
